What is a Property Law Act (PLA) notice and when is it issued?

A PLA notice is a formal legal document issued under the Property Law Act 2007. It gives the borrower notice that they are in default and outlines what they must do to remedy the situation within a specified period (usually 20 working days).

If the borrower does not comply, SCP can take further enforcement steps, including selling the property to recover the debt.
